Hot Rod Deluxe owners!! Help

Just opened up my HRDX today and notices R10 1.5k is soldered to a
Electrolyc cap and then jumpered to R17 ? Is this stock? or some kinda
mod? If any HRDX owner's could look under the hood. I would appricate
it. Here's a pic.

Here's a pic I got from a guy at the Fender Forum. Mine is a 2001 Made in
U.S.A. His is a 2004 Blonde Made in Mexico. Notice C56, This is NOT on
the schematic you download from Fender's site? How many time can you
say WTF ! :smack: I emailed the seller...They know nothing.

Its a Mod. Does the amp sound good? You could take it to an amp tech, but if it sounds good and isn't running too hot I wouldn't mess with it. It would be fairly easy to put it back to stock if you would wish to. Good luck in either case.

The Amp sounds no better or no worse than any other HRD I've played.
I could put it back to stock, But I was hoping someone could offer up
some kind of rhyme or reason for this. Is this helping me or putting
stress on one of the tubes? Or what ever? And when I see a pic of
a newer model with a Cap. That's not on mine(Stock) Apparently
a reverision by Fender. Now I'm really confused.

It could possibly be a mod to reroute the reverb so it doesn't make as much noise, I know a lot of Blues JR owners do a similar mod, myself included and the Blues JR is a very similar amp to the Hot Rod Deluxe. I wouldn't worry about it too much, if it hasn't messed up yet it probably won't.

Thanks! This is the best explaination offered up so far, But I can't
say I totally agree. The reverb in this amp is driven by OP amps. The
best I can tell should be independant from the preamp tubes? R10 and
R17 seem to feed right into V1 and V2 on there own. Now someone
adds a jumper wire? I wish I understood signal flow better :blackeye:
This way I'd know whats being rerouted and to where? But you
could be right? I wish I didn't worry, But This kinda S**T drives me
crazy. :yell:
