Greetings, I have had a phase switch (push/pull on the tone control)on a tele for along time, wired per the the SD schematic. It works great and adds a very usable voice. Now, I've changed the standard 3 position tele pickup selector switch for a 4 way switch ( so I can run the PUs in series). I have a SD single coil at the bridge and a SD mini-humbucker for the neck (4 wire).
I did not expect the 4 way switch to effect the phase switch wiring but the 4 way switch works fine without the phase switch, but gets messed up when I wire in the phase switch. It seems this is because the 4 way switch requires the ground from the neck pickup to be part of the switching on the switch. Anyone ever had to figure this one out? You help is most appreciated.
