For gigs I use one of those Dunlop pick holders that clips to the mic stand. Then after the gig I like to take out the picks and forget to remove it from the club's mic stand so the next guy to use it gets a free Dunlop pick holder.

Now THAT'S funny!

That's a good idea!

At first I set my stands in front of me but in my apartment I have it off to the side because I've set my amps right in front of me. When I got my pick holder I realized how nice it was to have.

I usually put 4 on my mic stand wedged between the mic and mic clip (2 on each side) and a couple wedged in the bottom of my pickguard if I'm using a flattop guitar. That's if I have that many, They are pretty much single use and disposable to me, I bought a bag of 200 like a year ago, I have none left. I'll probably find them when I lift up my carpets or move my fridge or something.

If I'm singin' I use a mic stand clip. If I am not singin' I keep a bunch in my pocket or on top of my amp. At home I have them all over the place.
