How do you store your pedals that aren't on your pedalboard? I built a huge board a couple of years ago, but I can no longer pretend that all my pedals fit on it. I'm looking for a solution that keeps the overflow safe but easily available.

In original boxes if I have them, then in turn inside plastic totes with tops on shelves.

But since you are a distinguished pedal connoisseur, only the best will do:

Old CD shelf I was about to chuck out. It works really well.

IKEA? I think I have two of those. I'd need about 5 more though...

Yup. We just had the one like this, so I also have cupboards. And cupboards. And cupboards.

Re: How do you store spillover pedals?

Mine are in a tool chest in the garage for now, but it'll be storage shelves or a really big MoFo of a board when I get a man cave! I'll just keep a small board that's gig ready.

Re: How do you store spillover pedals?

Nice looking board!!! I built a second board for my 2nd tier pedals that I still love to use, but didnt make the main board. as far as spillovers, dont have anything readily avail, but use orig boxes if I have em and keep em in plastic storage totes. Not to far outta reach! But keeps em clean and safe

Re: How do you store spillover pedals?

My main board is almost never at home, i usually leave it at my bands rehearsal space. So, all of my spare pedals are now mounted on my old SKB pedalboard, and I use that for practicing at home.

Re: How do you store spillover pedals?

I keep mine in a plastic storage bin, in their boxes. If you intend to use them along with your current board...just go crazy and get another board. I'd probably try to make it modular, so I could add the 2nd board if I needed very specific sounds. It would mean that you'd have to figure out some fancy routing to get the pedals in the right order. But you could go with the 1 board if you don't need the extra sounds.

Re: How do you store spillover pedals?

Mine sit in my rack, front row are plugged in, back row are mainly piled up ontop of each other

Re: How do you store spillover pedals?

I have an old coffee table in my music room. I store my pedals that aren't currently on a board there.

Re: How do you store spillover pedals?

My pedals are all so transparent that as soon as I stop playing, I can't see them anymore. So I am unable to gather up the unused ones for storage.

Re: How do you store spillover pedals?

On assorted standard shelves about the music room. I do generally group them by theme/use.

I keep a couple of smaller boards about as possible.

Re: How do you store spillover pedals?

I've decided to try these little shelves. If I'm really lucky they won't wake me up by falling off the wall in the middle of the night, leaving me with multiple busted, dinged-up pedals among the wreckage.
