How do you store spillover pedals?

Re: How do you store spillover pedals?

It would mean that you'd have to figure out some fancy routing to get the pedals in the right order.

Bah! Judicious placement of a looper or two would handle that. 15 minutes and a scratch piece of paper. Then 5 days to arrange & wire correctly

Re: How do you store spillover pedals?

I've decided to try these little shelves. If I'm really lucky they won't wake me up by falling off the wall in the middle of the night, leaving me with multiple busted, dinged-up pedals among the wreckage.

The keyhole inserts on the back of these aren't fastened on that well. I had one of the screws pull out while I was hanging a new one this afternoon. So I'm going to try the old toothpick & wood glue trick. Even then I'm not sure if I want to trust my entire pedal collection to these things. I might go with a CD tower. Tether the damn thing to the wall, too.

Can you reinforce with a washer? I'd hate to have 4-8 pedals crash to the ground.

The problem is these little screws sunk into MDF. There just isn't the kind of fortitude one expects. I'm thinking of just using them for lightweight, inexpensive little knickknacks. The Fast Fret can, for example. Slides. Metronome.

OCD, soul food, rat, BD2, and plexitone are spillover pedals?

Just building enough capacity for all the pedals.

Waited five days for the glue to dry. Here's hoping there's no sudden loss of altitude on any of these.

Edit: This is my pedal collection, except for:

  • Morley Bad Horsie 2 wah, which is too big and heavy for these shelves
  • Tech 21 U.S. Steel, which is on loan to a friend
  • Five Danelectro mini pedals, which are on the Danelectro purple plastic pedalboard

I don't have enough extras to worry about it. I do have enough to have two separate setups running into two different amps.

How elaborate a setup do you have on each amp?

Re: How do you store spillover pedals?

A four tier non-enclosed plastic shoe rack. Bottom tier is plugged in & the rest for storage & easy retrieval. A small portable board for quick grab-n-go by the side.

Re: How do you store spillover pedals?

Hidden away in their boxes in milk crates, in storage. I hate the bloody things, and can't be bothered to sell them. So, out of sight, out of mind.

Re: How do you store spillover pedals?

I store them on ebay.
