:laugh2: Not only did you mention playing your 12-string, you also mentioned a song that I've been trying to learn the intro to for years. For the life of me I cannot get the intro down. The right before the verses, the verses themselves and the chorus is fine. The intro is just gives me trouble, even with the music in front of me. :headache:

That depends on how you try to play it. I got my tab from a Bon Jovi rock score book. But it's tabbed different than Richie Sambora plays it live, but works really well with a 12-string

I don't have any books with their stuff and I never got any. At first I was trying to find the fingering off what I've seen in the video but obviously that didn't work. I've found a few tabs online but they didn't sound right, even with a 6-string.

And the hunt continues.

I hope I didn't offend you with my diplomatic skills. Every time I hear that in my head I think of Monty Python or some other English comedy/comedian.

My Yairi is skinny strings first too (on the down stroke). I think they set em up like that to ensure you get more chime for your dime per strum.
I usually tune all the lower octaves first (just like a regular six string), then go back and tune the high octaves. A simple trick on the highs is to tune to your 12th harmonic on the lows (E A D G).

Yeah, my buddy's 12-string Washburn is octave on the "bass" side, or "first".

Yeah, the beginning arpeggiated riff that starts it all off. I have the lower chord parts figured out right before the verses start and the verses and chorus themselves.

You're not stupid, just a Brit with a good sense of humor.

Oh Good Lord!!! My dad feels your pain, and so do I...LOL. I have 4 older sisters. As of right now my wife and I just have 1 child, our daughter. A sense of humour is a requirement in those circumstances.

I might have to go home and play "Wanted..." tonight now. I haven't played it in forever. Might have to change the 12 string's strings (say that 10 times fast). I bet I've completely forgotten the solo.

I dunno what tab ya'll have but the one I've got looks basically the same as what Richie does live.

I can't find my version of it. If you move every thing that is played on the 3rd string to the 2nd, and then play all notes tabbed for the top string on the 3rd string, the octave string sounds the same and it sounds right on a 12-string
