Appease my curiosity...

Breakout your scale and as accurately as you can, without guessing or estimating or rounding, post your model Les Paul and how much it weighs...

Gibsons, Epi's, and other brands are welcome!

Here's mine:

Gibson Les Paul Standard Raw Power : 9lbs 10oz
Gibson Les Paul Studio : 9lbs 5 oz
Gibson Les Paul Classic Antique : 8lbs 4oz

Les Paul Stuido Lite: Somewhere between 7 and 8 pounds.

97 non-weight relieved R8 looks to be 7lbs and somewhere between 8-15oz.

I used a luggage scale and a solid wire ran over/between the keys to create a loop with which to pick up the guitar. The smallest unit is half a pound thus my inability to get closer to the actual weight.

Who has scales these days?

My LP (PRS Singlecut) is lighter than any of my other guitars, it's a feather.

All mahogany, no cap

My Epi LP's weigh in at 9 to 10 pounds which I think is ideal. I don't want a light-weight LP. For that I have SG's. Part of an LP's wonderful tone & sustain is derived from that fat block of mahogany.

Non weight relieved standard. A whopping 11lbs 14oz. Might as well call it 12lbs.

It's not like it's a thinner guitar just less mineral deposits from my understanding. Truthfully the heavier LPs I've played have normally been more pingy sounding.

My '76 LPC porks out at 11 lbs, 4 oz. Believe it or not, it's not the heaviest guitar I own. I've got a Washburn Falcon that tips the scales at 11 lbs, 10 oz.

IIRC my Gibson Studio is near 8' 7
My Epi Standard is 8'9"
My Burny is in the 11 lb range

My LTD EC400AT is 10 on the dot
