It all depends on your situation AND the guitar...I've got guiars that get adjusted several times a year and I have 2 that I've never touched, one of them I've had for well over 10 years now and I've never even so much as pulled the truss rod cover off...

Can't say I have to mess with it often.
But I prefer guitars with thick, stable necks, that probably has to do with it.

the one i seemt o have to adjust a lot is a imported Jackson... i have no idea why but that paper thin neck is always moving..... My 1995 Warmoth neck i've never touched!!! makes me wonder if i should loosen it and oil it someday soon... 13 years and never has been adjusted!!!! Warmoth could use that as a sales pitch
