I have a pair of Fender P bass pickups that were installed included in the purchase of a 66 Pbass. The bass had newer Duncan 1/4 pounders installed when I received it. As it turns out virtually everything on the bass was actually a 64 with a 66 neck on it. The pickups are stamped 5242 on both of the pickups. These are certainly genuine Fenders from comparing the size of the stamp and the type of numbers used to other known Fender pickups such as my 1966 Jazz Bass that I have owned since it was new. Any info is helpful, thanks. BTW I am going to put these in a bass I am building for a friend who lost everything he owned in the Marshall fire of Colorado on 12/30/21. I had taken a 1983 57 Pbass AVRI on trade for an arch top and passed it on to him for my cost, the things he lost were too numerous and precious to even describe- just trying to help out a fellow musician, again thanks
