Spray silver sparkle coat. Then spray translucent sunburst on top.

Or

Spray a primer coat then spray a sunburst but with metal flake mixed into the color.

Paint it normally and then let it dry on the stage of a strip club.

I would have to agree. Rimbursts are dreadful on a Les Paul.

If you're seriously wanting to know how to do such a burst, search for "Meloncaster" or "sparkle" in the DIY section at the TDPRI. Tele dudes know their sparkles.

Or, we could all just sit back and stare at the purple-sparkled blond.

Tape around the top of the guitar. First you want to lay down a base coat of silver paint before the paint is dry add automotive metal flake. After the base coat dries shake off the excess metal flake. You now want to throw a couple of coats of clear over the the flake. Wet sand to get out any imperfections and then get ready to add your candy colors. I would spray the yellow first. Add some yellow tint to the clear and spray the center of the guitar. Repeat the process now with the red on the outer part of the guitar. Add another coat of clear for depth and then wet sand and buff for gleem.

Send it RS Guitar Works. I think Ayrton has a good source for those types of paint jobs too.
