How do you guys get that disgusting cat poo smell out of your acoustic guitar? Mine has had this smell for years now, which is why I don't play it anymore. I'm finally fed up with letting a guitar to go waste. So how do you guys do it?

Slice off part of an apple and throw it in your sound hole (don't leave it in their forever), but it will make the guitar smell fresh and keep the wood hydrated.

To be honest, if someone asked me to get the "cat poo" smell out of their guitar, I;d tell them to remove the cat poo.......




Although I do like the idea of the fir-tree air freshner in there. All I need now is some pink furry dice hanging from the headstock

My problem was that there was no cat poo anywhere in sight, yet it still reeked of the smell. It happened to stay overnight at a friend's house many years ago. The smell remains to this day. Fukking friend and his cats..

Sounds like the cat pissed in it, not pooed. You will never get the cat piss smell out of it. I guess you could by a dog :laugh2:

It's possible my friend empied any possible poo without me noticing. Either way, god damn it smelled like crap. I've had a grapple hanging out in it for the last few hours now. I've been periodically checking in and smelling the soundhole...so far so good.

I bet we have all been to that one persons house that just stank of cat or dog **** and piss.....how can people live that way. I new this guy I used to buy reefer from....we hated going there cuz the next morning when you took a shower and the steam got in your nose...youd smell the poop all over again....and thats just from being there for ten minutes the nite before.
