How do I ID a sd pickup?
Mine is an old duncan and On the cast base it has a "sd 2 94"

any help would be welcomed :-)

Re: How to ID a sd pickup?

Does it have a small white sticker on the base pkate, if so, what does it say?

If not, describe the poles/screws. Also, throw a meter on it and get a DC resistance reading.

Thank You for help :-) Im pretty sure that they are the "Vintage Flat"

Late 60´s is pretty much impossible, I don´t think Seymour even went into business until the early-mid 70´s, or? and for the first few years I think he only did Rewinds, I think officially ´75 or so is "the beginning".

Somebody PLEEEASE correct me if I´m talking out my ass here :lmao:

I would say that you've got to be pretty close to the mark. Didn't Seymour start by rewinding Jeff Beck's pup for the "Blow by Blow" album? That was released in 1975.
