How to identify a flying V body?

about to pick one up on craigslist. Looks nice. standard routes and everything. No markings at all.

how can i find out where this came from and who made it?

Do they have pictures? Also if you haven't tried already, you can ask them questions to not only get answers, but see what type of person you are dealing with.

It's most likely that the V you are referring too did not come out of a factory for one company, it's most likely that the guitar was made of parts with different origins (a partscaster) or the fella made it themselves and didn't want to put a logo on it. Chances are it's a partscaster.

Flying V covers a shape......used by MANY companies. If you only give us such incomplete details as this, then we can do nothing to help.

Why do you care?

Gibson/Epiphone would have a neck attached.

Then there are Charvel King's and Rhoads. Those are shapes

After that, maybe a Kramer Voyager with double low pickups
