Hi guys. My first post to the forum. I've been a duncan user for about 10 years now, and so far I haven't been presented with any reason to change.
I recently picked out a set for a Warmoth Strat build that I have been working on for a few years, finally decided to put proper pickups in it instead of the Squire's I dissected from the old strat I had.
Anyway. Here's my proposed setup, and the result I've gotten.
Superstrat
Pegasus 6 - string bridge
RWRP Quarter Pounder middle
JB Jr neck.
I have the 5 way wired up as you'd expect.
1: Bridge
2: Bridge middle
3: Middle
4: Middle Neck
5: Neck.
and the volume pot is a push/push for coil splitting. I want it to split both humbuckers when It's up,
I modified one of the wiring diagrams on the site to reflect my setup and this is what I came up with:
It all works, except for one thing. THe JB JR, when split. outputs the outside coil, the one closest to the neck (I don't think it would matter much with the poles so close together). but when using the Pegasus, it outputs the inside coil, closer to the middle pickup, rather than the one closest to the bridge.
Now.. it doesn't sound awful, but it's not what I want. I wanted a bit more spank than I get from that coil, and I figure even just the little bit closer to the bridge will give me that. Not that the pegasus is going to be terribly great at it, being a metal pickup, but I figure there has to be a way to do it.
It must have something to do with the arrangement of the White, Red, and Green wires. right?
