Re: How to remove a faceplate from a Fender amp??
remove the knobs, then the nuts for the pots that are under the knobs, and the nuts on the input jacks, also the bezel around the on / off indicator lamp. After that it should come off pretty easily, might be a bit of glue but a putty knife would work good to seperate the faceplate from the chassis.
Note that if you are going to use a repro Fender black faceplate on an older silverface Fender amp, you will have to enlarge the holes, the new amps use smaller diameter pots.
Easy to do with a good drill bit or Unibit.
