How to remove Triple Shot safely?

Hey guys,
So I was trying to swap out a Triple Shot off a pickup I didn't like and move it to another pickup I wanted to experiment with. However, the circuit board was really stuck on the pickup baseplate.

I find this varies from pickup to pickup. I have one Triple Shot that won't stick and I have to use electrical tape to keep it in place.

I thought about rubbing alcohol to weaken the adhesive but I thought that wouldn't be very gentle on the small TS circuit board.

I tried to gently pry up the TS from the opposite end of the ribbon connector with pliers, but unfortunately the ribbon connector broke.

I know they're not designed for multiple installs but I'm hoping I could get 2-3 out of them while experimenting with new pickups.

I have double sided or at least electrical tape I can use to attach them in a pinch. Any suggestions on how to remove them? This was stuck on the pickup so strongly some of the double sided tape came off the circuit board and remained on the pickup.

Thanks.

Get a long bladed box cutter or similar and slice slideways through the sticky pad, then remove the remnants gently with your finger nails.

Thanks ThreeChordWonder . Not sure why I didn't think of that. I suppose I was trying to save as much of the adhesive as possible. Maybe I thought cutting through it meant it wouldn't stick to the new pickup.

^ You can buy new sticky pads at the store for about 10 cents each. Well, 5 or 6 bucks for 50 or more. A new triple shot costs $35 and up.

Would you have something in mind for a new adhesive via Amazon?

I haven't tried double sided tape with it yet but if I can find something closer to the original pad I'd rather go with that.

And yeah I was not happy when the ribbon detached from the ring.
