What year is your Standard? Am Std or regular? Mine is only a couple years old has has never been ticky since day one.
Could be the OPs diet
Chicken grease is insidious
I've got a MIM and it's not an issue with food. It's just the guitar came from the factory with too thick a finish.
Here's something I learned the hard way: don't go too hard on the finish. It can lead to removing the protective finish and lead to the neck getting warped later down the line. .
It's pretty tough to go that deep, but it is possible.
So far you're batting %100 for asshat comments today.
No really. I was actually referring to my So Cal. I have turned the rod at least 3 full turns but the relief won't go away. The neck is just oiled, no finish.

I like to use fine grade steel wool
Your neck is sealed from the factory. Vintage Charvel necks were oiled, but modern Fender are sealed to mimic the raw feel.
Something more severe is going on with your neck. Three full turns from what starting point?
Steel wool has NO PLACE near an electric guitar. It sheds crumbs of wire that will stick to the magnets of your pickups and possibly get in the electronics of your axe shorting it out. Also, those crumbs can hurt your fingers, get under your fingernails, and stick into your skin. Use Scotchbrite....

What do you use to polish frets, if not steel wool?
