How would this look?

Part of me thinks it would look pretty cool, but definately would make the guitar look less classy and more rock n roll.

Hmm. Ive been having a real delimma trying to decide what color to go with. Was afraid to use black as there is really no black on the guitar. Guess it would kinda tie in with the dark fingerboard. If it was ebony and not rosewood, I could definately get on board with this.

yeah, thats why Im asking. Im kinda A--l retentive about how my gear looks. I figure it may kinda look 80s cool, but I think Id rather keep the guitar classy looking. however, the blue colors may be diff enuff to give it contrast.

I would leave it as-is, it is gorgeous.


2nd choice, black/creme zebras. Change nothing else.

3rd choice- double blacks. Change nothing else.

No other choices in my book.

if you are gonna get wacky with the colors, don't use blue ones. the guitar is either gonna look classy with whats in there or zebras, or over the top zany colorful. blue on blue is a weird middle ground that doesn't work for me personally. I would say if you were getting a colored pickup get something completely over the top, a yellow or green or pink. it'll look crazy, but that would be the point.

I would do the blue pups, then proceed to switch rings knobs and toggle thing to black. That would be a not common look. then again, i try to do anything to get rid of cream stuff. Phuket.

I'd leave it as-is or go reverse zebra bridge, zebra neck. That is a gorgeous LP.

If you did use the blue pickups, fit them with chrome or gold 'beauty rings' or whatever they're called ... the kinda 'open top' covers so they just have a metal rim around the edge of the pickup when seen from the front.

Im gonna stick with chrome. I thought about white, but the rings are white and gibson doesnt use a pure white anyhow
