Hughes & Kettner......

Re: Hughes & Kettner......

I liked it when Mesa did it... 10 Years ago. ;)

Those aren't 6 independent channels though. If that's a contender, the XXL is the king.

Clean, Lead, and Ultra channels, each with 3 sub-channels, making it 9 in total. :D

Re: Hughes & Kettner......

I think it would be awesome to only have to have a wah pedal, tuner pedal and maybe my bigg muff pi (because I have become one with the muff).

im an old married guy, I WISH I had that problem... hahahaa

about the amp.. Id be curious...seems like alot, but its being billed as the only amp you could ever need. And I know there is always truth in advertising!! haha

By that logic, my Behringer had six.

Re: Hughes & Kettner......

I have a single channel amp, and never use an overdrive lol.

Re: Hughes & Kettner......

I owned a Triamp Mk I for a while. Heavy, loud, but versatile as heck. I realistically used 1A, 2A and 3B the most often. I could get scary good Joe Walsh overdrive tones from 2A, some respectable shimmery cleans from 1A and 3B was a hard rock crunch dream (I was big into Fuel at the time and "Sunburn" was actually recorded with a Triamp Mk I).

The Mk II I played at a GC sounded great and I'd imagine this Mk III is very, very good.

I wish they'd find a way to bring the power level down and use less tubes. I'm not sure how the reliability sits with these, but I gathered the old Triamps had board failures although mine never exhibited any. Customer service from Hughes & Kettner has been non-existant, at least for US distribution, so US buyers caveat emptor.
