what is the best pickup for rock also
What is the best set up for rock eg. Green day

I don't know about best for Green Day but, if you have a tube amp I know that S.D. JB's or '59's sound good for all kinds of music. I have used both pups a lot when I was playing heavy rock & they worked well.....Joe

59's are a great starting point for that vintage, punchy, articulate tone. A lot depends upon your setup...whacha usin?

welcome to the board

i dont think there is a standard ... we can usually figure it out from the context ... if it is ambiguous, you can just say "bridge humbucker and single coil mid and neck" ... helps to say what kind of guitar (body wood, neck / fingerboard wood, bridge type)

hey there Stratocaster_Rocker, welcome to the SD forum.

Billie Joe used a full humbucker JB on his green strat... at least for the DOOKIE album and quite possibly for the next couple thereafter.

JB is great for hugh output rock ie. punk.
