Humbucker Set for Raggae/Rock?

Hello 🎸 geeks !

I was wondering what humbuckers set would be best for a good Raggae-rock sound?

I just bought a Fender Mex Telecaster HH (Humbuckers neck/bridge) with coil split option. I want to swap out the original ones for something like Seymour Duncan’s.

Maybe something heavyish for rock/metal on the bridge and a humbucker in the neck not too muddy for Raggae chops?

I have the JB SH4 on the bridge of a tele deluxe it’s good but maybe something with slightly tighter gain structure

Thanks!
Will

reggae is middle position on a hh guitar for me. custom split with a 59 would be a cool option

Welcome to the forum!

The Custom is a good choice for heavy rock. I'd go with something clean and clear in the neck, like the Jazz. Then you can split both of them in the middle position.

Yeah, scooped and clear is what your looking for reggae. 59/C in the bridge and Sentient in the neck is a excellent all around choice in general, but works especially well in your case as you want a metal voicing from the bridge
