Humbucker Sized P-90 Opinions Needed

I know Seymour Duncan and GFS both offer P-90's that fit in fullsize humbucker pickup rings. Are there any other options? I'm also looking for opinions on these pickups. Do they sound good, and how do they compare to regular P-90 pickups? I'm thinking about installing a pair in one of my Terry C. McInturff, Polaris's. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

I've heard the Phat Cat sounds like a cross between a typical P90 and an alnico 2 PAF...which really sounds like the perfect pickup if you ask me.

that new P-Rails is on my mind tho -- it's a P90 with a little rail coil so you can switch between P90, single coil, or humbucker modes. I started a thread about it earlier today that's got links to the product description and a demo video if you wanna check that out.

Although I love P90s i haven't tried many. Been thinking of a Phat Cat set for my HxH Strat tho...

I have a set of phats in my Hamer, I like it for alot of things, but not everything.
It does sound similar to a P90, but has a mojo of its own.

PhatCat is phenomenal. Do a search on the forum, and you'd get lotsa good info on them.

But if you have time, wait a bit for the new P-rails. I am gonna get me one the second they are available, and could compare it against a PhatCat and report here.

I've never owned a GFS, but I've heard many complaints about them. Are they Asian-made? If so, they'll be muddy like another other Asian.

Go for the PC's. Why get the GFS' & then have to replace then with Duncan's?

That's exactly how I hear the Phat Cat. I really, really like it. It seems to have a little more drive to it than a regular P-90. Only other humbucker sized P-90 I've owned is the humbucker sized P-90 Harmonic Design makes. That's a real good one too, although I like the Phat Cat more...especially the bridge model.

What I really want is a humbucker-sized hum cancelling P90. Why doesn't anyone make those?

I have a set of Phat Cats and a set of Rio Grande Fat Bastards. I highly recomend the Phat Cats. I wish they came in black or creme, though. My Fat Bastard set is creme colored.
