'Humbucker under P90 soapbar' for my 2014 LP Melody Maker

I'm thinking about getting a Seymour Duncan Custom Shop Humbucker under P90 Soapbar for my 2014 Gibson Les Paul Melody Maker. I'm eyeing the Alnico II, single conductor version for the bridge slot.

The current "P90S" slug pickups in my MM are OK, but I'd like something a bit more powerful and, uh, humbuckery. (You can see the stock pickup I'm talking about in my profile pic.)

This is the pickup I'm contemplating: http://customshop.seymourduncan.com/humbucker-under-p90-soapbar/

Two questions, and I know these are long shots, because not a lot of people own this guitar or this pickup:

Has anyone around these parts ever put this pickup in this guitar? Did it work out? Was routing of the body required?

And two: Has anyone around here tried this pickup in *any* guitar?

Looking for experiences, advice, etc. Thanks.

P.S. I know the pickup is more than a quarter of the value of the guitar. You don't need to give me a heads-up about that. I appreciate it.

No direct experience, but I once put a humbucker under the pickup cover of a Jazz master. It sounded just like a humbucker. I'm guessing this one would, too.
If you don't want to commit, you could always try a P90-size humbucker first to see if it's a move in the right direction. P90 Tone Zones are easy to find. If you don't like it you can resell.

Thanks. Yeah, I know this won't sound anything like a P90.

Another other option -- and completely different -- is a screaming SD P90 Antiquity.

Don't get me wrong - I love humbuckers. I just meant you can probably guess what it will sound like by listening to similar humbuckers.
