humbucker wanted for westone guitar

Hi all, recently purchased a westone paduak guitar on ebay. don't know anything about it but it seems to be a well built guitar. the body is like a 3/4 size strat shape but full size 22 fret neck. it has 1xvol, 1xtone and 2 toggle switches and one bridge humbucker only. the sound is not so good and i would like to replace the humbucker so that on one toggle switch i can switch between full humbucker(with a good full rhythm sound) and single coil ( good lead sound). The second toggle switch could maybe be used to switch to out of phase single coils for a funky sound. mostly play 60/70 rock/pop through a line 6. Would appreciate any ideas for a guitar that has only one pickup being a humbucker in the bridge.

Thanks all.

Welcome to the SD User Group forum fj!

What type of woods are used in this guitar or do you have a link to the manufacturer? Bridge type also has a big influence on tone.

I saw your amp and style preferences but how do you like your tone? Some players prefer a warmer, smoother tone while others like it brighter, more bottom heavy or more on the agressive side.

That and maybe a few commonly well known players whos tone you appriciate will really help us narrow down the many options that you have with Seymour Duncan pickups.

Thanks for the reply,

The body is maple with a mahogany veneer on top, the neck is full maple, the bridge is brass thru body sting. I like the sound to be warm and smooth in rhythm. I have several other guitars one of which is a godin lgx and I replaced the pickups with a pearly gates and 59 but i can't remember which is bridge and which is neck. anyway love the sound of this combination specially in the neck position. the trick is going to be to get a similiar warm smooth sound out of a guitar with just a humbucker at the bridge. love most guitar sounds from metallica to neil young but if i have to pick a favourite i would say robbie robertson from the band.

Cheers and thanks
