hi gang terry here again i got the telecaster done put 500k pots in and an 022 cap but still a little bit darker than i like borderline more like it but its close i wired it coil split but i am thinking of going series parallel with a push pull i heard that parallel would brighten it could use all your input love the little 59 tele pickup just need it a little brighter any thoughts

Parallel will indeed be brighter and somewhat thinner, and it is worth exploring. You can even go to 1 meg pots, too. A good experiment might be to wire one pickup at a time directly to the jack, and see what it sounds like without any other electronics. If it is still too dark, then it could be the pickups themselves you don't like. Which ones are they again?
