Friends,
1. I Love S. Lovers for the bridge in all my guitars. It sounded a little dark the first time out so MJ suggested an A5 mag. More output and crunch, but a little less mids than I hoped for. Lately all this forum info leads me to think that if a UOA5 has smoother highs and more "focused" lows, then whatever mids in that pickup should come though better. Correct so far?
2. Does the UO part mean that is still has a pull and repel side with another pickup depending how you hold them to each other, but the "north or south" whatever that means would cause the magnet to pull on the strings in less of a linear fashion, meaning it is a more diffuse field that pulls on the strings, thereby causing less highs and lows specifically and sort of "melding" the frequencies a little evenly through the tonal spectrum, and no, I am not trying to sound smart, I just can't think of other words to use. Never been accused of being too smart. Does this make sense? Will it work like this in my S. Lover?
Thank you in advance.
