Re: I bought a guitar today... Kind of a cool story.
Almost bought a pinkburst Dead Hollywood backinnaday because it seemed to be "following" me around town - I'd see it in one store this month, then in another a few months later, then back at the other store the next year, then at yet a third store way across town a few months down the road, then in a store in a neighboring state when I went to visit relatives (guy at the store said it was traded by a guy from my town a few weeks prior).
It was a great guitar, despite the color (hey, it was 1986 after all). Had all the features, too - USA-made, trapezoidal inlays, bound neck & head, v-plate behind the bridge, Duncans (previous owner swapped the stock ones out), and wasn't that expensive (like $300 IIRC), and included the hardshell case. It's just that it was Nancy Wilson Pinkburst. I loved Heart, but not enough at the time to be seen with a girly-pink guitar.
Today, however, I'd play the most br00tal things I could on the most effeminate axe I could find just becuz :lol:
