I'm pretty sure The original Tonelab, The Tonelab Se (combined into a floor unit/pedal board), and the new LE which has a smaller footprint I think (what John has), are the same. They probably tweaked a few things with the LE model. I got the original with the VC-12 floorboard, because (at 54) it's easier to see the settings if I have the unit up high (on top of the amp or some other platform) where I can see it (LOL), and the pedal board on the floor. You'll have an easier time finding the LE, I would guess.

The LE has a built in EQ in it's global output section.I think they also added a heavy metal pedal to the effects and they removed 1 expression pedal...

Right. I forgot about removing the outer expression pedal. That was used to change certain effect parameters and also acted as a volume pedal (I rarely use it). The EQ is a great idea, although I do pretty well the way mine's set up.

John, if I'm not mistaken, the LE is still a fairly large unit? Maybe not as long as the old SE, but width-wise still similar?

Yes it's only narrower because they removed that second pedal....I'm using a seperate volume pedal,don't want to waste that 1 expression pedal on just volume...I have the volume pedal between the output of the TL and my amp..I'm also using my own Vox 847 wah and not the ToneLab's wah. The wah just goes between my guitar and the ToneLab's input jack.....Tomorrow night I'll get to rehearse with it for the first time..Hope I have some presets dialed in right for the occassion? :fingersx:

They just came out with the Tonelab ST:argh:. Looks like a smaller footprint, and they've included things from the Valvetronix amps.

I'm not impressed with that new unit Jeff....The SE and the LE,are the ones to have! Plus I still have my Valvetronix VTH 120 Stereo head(The first series blue head) Love that amp!

I agree, the Valvetronix series kicks butt. Looks like you have some serious gear there:bigok:

Go with the Tonelab. I have an old Zoom 9000 and another one (707 I think). They're ok, but the Tonelab is in a class by itself. Haven't tried the Zoom G9 though.

Got my Pro Reverb working fine again....Bad volume pot on the normal channel..Back in action! :headbang:

I still have mine but I am only using the modulation (chorus/flanger), delays and reverbs. My Ibanez 805 pedal replaced the emulated tube screamer on the board and my Mesa Flux pedal and Boogie amp replaced the amp sounds of the pedal. I will be getting the Catalina SD chorus pedal next to replace the digital chorus but I think for digital delays and reverb I will keep the Tonelab for that purpose
