"Vintage" or "J" taper. You can also fiddle around with parallel resistors. A parallel resistor of 250k on a 500k pot yields a 30% 166k pot. A lot of room for experimenting. I usually end up doing this resistor tweaking on pedals and amps, not as useful on guitars
