I don't know if this is real or not.

Re: I don't know if this is real or not.

It's hard to say much without better pictures. I think both of those are real Gibsons, but I can't be 100% certain.

The Les Paul Classic isn't from the first few years of production because it has the green inlays which weren't started until later. I think the seller is trying to represent the latter guitar as an R9, but it's more likely a Standard Plus or maybe a Class 5. I honestly wonder if they're trying to hide something by not showing the headstock. Also AFAIK all R9s are shipped with a pickguard, though I suppose a dealer could order a special run without the holes drilled.

I don't think the guitars are fake, but the prices seem a bit high (even in Canadian) and I'd want more pictures unless it's a short drive to check them out.

Well he's less than 20 mins away from me. It's more curiosity than anything else on my part. From his advert, I'd say he wouldn't be willing to send anymore photos. I just hits me as a little fishy.

See if you can get pictures of the headstock, it’s generally the top, logo and truss rod cover that fakes go wrong aesthetically.

Guy wouldnt do more pics? FRAUD

Re: I don't know if this is real or not.

If he won't do shipping or take offers, it's probably not worth the trouble. Given both pictures were taken on the same chair in the same room, he either stole the pictures or it's legit.
