I don't think anyone makes my dream guitar...

I don't think they make a guitar that fits my preference, or if they do, I haven't found it. Something simple in design, but with some specific features. I guess I'm picky, but if I could design my own guitar, here would be the specs:

-6 string
-Mahogany Body
-Mahogany or Maple neck
-Rosewood fretboard
-6 to a side, inline tuners (locking tuners if possible, but not mandatory)
-Angled headstock
-String through hipshot, hanne, or similar styled bridge (no whammy or tune-o-matic)
-Dual passive humbuckers
-Scale doesn't matter. (24.75 or 25.50)
-Number of frets doesn't matter
-Radius anywhere from 10-16 inches.

Closest thing to what I was looking for was the Fender FMT HH Telecaster (but it didn't have an angled headstock and string trees are not my thing)

Any ideas? What would your perfect guitar specs be?

Schecter has some stuff pretty close. If it weren't for the bridge requirement they'd be your ticket.

Hmm... This one is close to spec, except for the flat headstock:

Are you only considering new models, or would you buy used? If you are willing to go back a few years, you may have a few more options.

Build it or find something close and mod the hell out of it.

Considering that there's thousands of guitar models available today, if you can't find what you're happy with, I can't say that I have a lot of sympathy for you.

I'm saying I can't find one that meets the specs I've listed.

I agree with you. Especially because, like you said, considering there's thousands of guitar models out there, you'd think they make a few that match.

Re: I don't think anyone makes my dream guitar...

You could do what I did and order a custom hand made guitar to your specs :)

Check out some stuff from warmoth. Build it to your specs.

Mayones Regius?

Ah nevermind, 6/side tuners... not many makers have this. Fender, Jackson, Ibanez... but most use alder/basswood.

The Ibanez S421 is the closest guitar I've found to my specs. (Besides the Fender FMT Tele). So naturally, they're discontinuing it, LOL.

Another vote for Carvin. They are all semi custom anyway but the price is still quite low.

Precision Guitar Kits makes a Tele neck with an angled headstock, as well as customized bodies ... I can promise you the quality is awesome and prices are decent ( I built one of their LP kits )

When I was searching for the perfect guitar, I found that scale *does* matter. Otherwise I'd still be playing on the Godin Redline 1.

This one seems to fit the bill, except for the headstock and ebony fingerboard - Chapman ML2.

Neck joint.

Carvin is also a good suggestion.
