I feel this is my duty!

the T5's sound really really good......there was 3 guys at NAMM last weekend that would rotate around every few hours, and they just had a little demoing station outside the Taylor room, with a Line 6 amp, a little acoustic combo, and a Egnator (sp?) amp head and 2x12 cab......they were copping nice tele bridge pickup sounds, Gretsch hollowbody neck pickup sounds, a strat jangle, les paul bridge pickup crunch, and of course, the sound of a nice Taylor acoustic......there was some cool tones to be found......the T5's play nice too, it kind of feels like a exact mix of playing an electric and acoustic guitar at the same time, the neck and tension just makes it feel that way

That sounds very interesting! :32:

Hoss: Yep, those 400 are really great sounding guitars without all the extras that make upper range taylors so pricey (don't need fancy inlays, I want tone!;)) I was wondering about the difference in tone between the jumbo and the auditorium... The shop where I bought mine only had an auditorium and I fell in love with it... I would've like to compare tho...

Re: I feel this is my duty!

i thought the jumbo seemed to tame just a touch of the jangle that Taylor's have but still retained the sig taylor sound...the only thing i thought was different was the projection...but like i said, i love the auditoriums too!!!

as for the T5.....oh boy....i'm getting scared to play that thang now!!! it sounds like the PERFECT guitar for me...it really does!!!!

only thing is.......it's 2 or 3 grand!!!!!???

Well, the important thing is that they're too expensive for me right now... ;)

Re: I feel this is my duty!

yea, the guy was finished showing it off to me and and few other guys, then the one guy says "so what you lookin to get for one of these things?".........the guy responds "eh, between "26" and "38" "......*cue me up feeling poor and then walking away quickly* :D

Re: I feel this is my duty!

if that thing plays like the description on the site says and the way flank described it...i can't imagine ever even needing another guitar!!!??? (of course wanting is a different thing ain't it?! LOL)
