Ok. Here's the story. I'll try to keep it short. Afterwards, your advice is appreciated. At any rate, I might have to leave my lady of many years. Here goes:
I have been looking at e/acoustics for about a month, because I think it might be time to replace my Yamaha. I won't get into why, but it probably is time to leave her. You remember my thread about the Ibanez EAS 10? Nice axe for the price, but upon revisiting her, she just didn't do it for me. I've been spoiled, and didn't even realize it.
I played several guitars, including a couple of Seagulls. They seemed nice, but they were so far out of tune that I didn't feel like taking the time to get them "just right", so, in all fairness, they probably didn't get a fair listen.
Then, I picked up a Takemine EAN 15C. Discontined, and with a clearance price. Retail was nearly $1500, sale price $799. Full-bodied dreadnought. Built in tuner. Schwwwweeeeettttt!
She almost would not need to be plugged in. She was LOUD! Full sound, clear highs, lows were good but could probably be drastically improved with new strings. Plugged in, she just SANG!
Sadly, I'm still saving for my Bro-in-law's Parker...:smack:
