I finally pulled the trigger on a new acoustic!

Me and Mike (Hoss) went on a guitar playing spree about a month ago. Im sure he told you guys all about it. while he was checking out low to middle end strats and SGs I was focusing on quality acoustics. I must have played 20 to 30 different acoustics and the 2 that stuck out the most on playability and sound (unpluged) was a taylor that I didnt even look at how much it cost untill after I played it and it was $2300. OUCH!!!! I put that thing down quick. And this cool looking $450 Alvarez ad60ck. If I was blindfolded and someone was handing me the Alvarez and Tayler, I would not be able to tell them apart they played and sounded so much alike... Only difference was the Taylor looked better. So after some shopping around I decided to get an Alvarez. I didnt get the AD60ck though because I like solid color guitars so I went with an AD60SC-BK. Its pretty much the same guitar only black. I snagged it off Ebay from a guy that deals in factory 2nd and this one has a finnish crack. got it for $213 bucks....

Alvarez are fast approaching Yamaha in terms of high quality low cost acoustics.
The fact that you felt it stood up to a Taylor is huge praise in itself.
For the money you paid you should be dancing !

that was a very nice sounding and playing acoustic man! i can't remember if you could plug it in too!?

i've always found Alvarez guitars to be very good bang for your buck guitars...along with Takamines!

can't wait to play it!

got it lastnight and have not put it down since. This one dont sound or play as good as the taylor or the other alvarez but its close and im satisfied for just over $200!!!!

I have a nice Alvarez classical that plays & sounds great. Good luck with it! Is that a solid wood guitar or is it laminated?
