Are you thinking mainly of Ruger double-action revolvers?

Mainly, yes. Their double actions are hideous. The single actions are much better.
But the Vaquero's proportions seem off since the frame is scaled up from an SAA, and the Blackhawk just doesn't look right since they went away from the flat top strap.

I’ve always liked their sound but I couldn’t bond with the one I had. They aren’t my dazzle.

That said I’d love to try a G&L tribute Tele.
