I hate Rondo Music

Re: I hate Rondo Music

My number 1 & 2 guitars are both SX SST-57's - wouldn't trade 'em for the world.
Big chunky necks and very resonate. Add pickups of your choice and ROCK!

Re: I hate Rondo Music

I've modded a couple of Rondo Tele's that I'll put up against any Fender for playability and tone any day.
No I'm not kidding.

Wow. I've been looking for a cheap tele to play with for a long while and it didn't hit me until I saw this thread that Rondo could have my options. What brand are those exactly? SX or Douglas or something else? I remember playing a Douglas tele once and really enjoying it.

Re: I hate Rondo Music

I've owned two Agile Fake Les Pauls and one Rondo Pedal case.

The first LP was an eBay (sort0of) accidental purchase. I thought it was white. It was actually 100% Mother-of-Toiletseat. Played great, but I just couldn't stand the finish. Sold it quickly for a small profit.

The second LP was white, with reverse white/black zebra SD pickups (there are probably pics of it on the forum somewhere). Played great, sounded AWESOME. Sold it a couple of years later because I needed the money. I wish I still had that thing. I have dreams about how cool that guitar was. I've played every Epi and Gibson LP under $1500 at GC and I can't find a guitar I like as much as I did that one.

The pedal case was a total piece of sh.t. I've still got it. It's still a piece of sh.t.

I'm thinking of getting another LP. Maybe a 3000 or 3100 model. That Rootbeer spalted looks nice. The ones I had before were, I'm pretty sure, made in Korea. Have they moved production to China?

Re: I hate Rondo Music

Still made in korea. Any Agile Les Paul in the 3000 series or higher is fantastic. I've said this before in previous posts and i'll say it again, in regards to their quality and at their price point they can't be beaten.....Epiphone Les Paul's shouldn't even be put in the same sentence (sorry Epi fanboy's but its true).

Re: I hate Rondo Music

I really want the neck-thru AL-3000 with the 3/4" maple cap. The only thing that sucks, is that, unless somebody has one, you won't be able to hear them or play them. But I would bet that for $600 one of those Korean (think Korean as the new Japanese) made higher end ones would not disappoint. Put some SPECIAL pickups in one (Bare Knuckle, Custom Shop Duncans, Zhangs, etc) and I'd pit them up against $10,000 overpriced Gibson relics.
