I just counted

i do wish I could play better

doesnt affect my want for guitars

I tend to get them for different purposes
four acoustics
one of which is 12 strings
one is the Martin
one is the shorter scale Hummingbird
one is the Yamaha with built in Reverb and chorus

all have purposes

the electrics are the same, kinda
except for the five headless Vietnamese made ones
that are mostly the same just different colors

most of my electrics I purchased have a story and some sort of sentimental value
I have modded most of them well past the value of each

generally I play the newest ones the most
sometimes I will pull one off the wall and discover again why I have it

If you're into the concept of KARMA, it makes sense to have more guitars cuz they send good vibrations out into the universe which spread out & reverberate through the cosmos & then return back to you way more intense than before..

If you send out faster/shreddier vibrations, they return quicker & that's pretty sweet for you and makes you happy so you can go out & buy more guitars :bigthumb:

I thought I was out of room

Personally I've found that there's always room. :bigthumb:

I sent out some feelers (emails) regarding availability myself late last night...

Fingers crossed :D

If things go well I expect some lightning fast sweet Karma to soon be headed my way at mind-numbing warp speed

My record was 104. Now I'm having:

6x LP-trem
7x LP fixed
1x tele fix
1x tele Floyd
1x superstrat
2x flattop strat
1x carved top strat
2x Bich

I have another 17 (!) projects in the works. That is a problem.

the 17 in the works are:

flattop superstrat
1x carved top strat
1x carved top tele
2x flattop tele
1x flattop strat
11x LP

I hear you. I have two rooms dedicated to gear and a storage closet. I also have a ton of gear at the rehearsal spot. I could find a place for another amp or guitar in the house I do not want to buy something just to store it. Right now my JC120 isn't set up because of space constraints.

For awhile, I had a bunch of guitars stored at Mom's place, and a bunch more at a friend's place across town. An old pal of mine stored a bunch of shop stuff in his basement for a couple years. In the last couple years - it's all been moved under one roof - mine. And even though I have slowed down accumulating new stuff I am selling off a lot more. So, that's good. I plan on selling even more, because at 68 there is only so much I can enjoy at one time.

One of my bandmates here has a crapton of gear. A couple PA systems, amps, 30-something+ guitars. He plays 3-4 regularly. He bought one of my basses. I worked on I think half a dozen of his guitars for him, mostly those that he had hanging in the rehearsal room but since took home. He had me clean up a 90's MIJ Jackson Dinky XL Pro. I almost didn't want to give it back when I was done...LOL. He knows he should probably move a few things but hasn't. He's from your neck of the woods.

My jam/play/guitar room looks like a godown. It's slob heaven & I don't care. I just keep the door shut and enjoy myself in there :bigthumb:

Every time I try and tidy up/put some order into things it just ends up even messier in few days (after a few more guitars/amps/cabs come in.)

I've decided to just take things as they come & enjoy the moment..

I downgraded my incoming NGD 'cause of unavailability (FGN Koa top Tele)..but now have an even more fun Tele variant coming in instead.

As far as aesthetics go (& ergonomics) it's everything I don't like about the Tele shape "fixed" (and that's lots of things ..the fact that they're as plug-ugly as they are has kept me away from them for the better part of 35 years :laugh2:)

....and it's cheap. Way cheaper than the FGN which tbh I was'nt fully sold on anyway...not sour grapes, it's just that my FGN Strat has exactly the same top already & looks way better as a 'Strat' imo. I was always reticent (a lot of to-ing & fro-ing) about pulling the trigger on the Tele version.

It's not $60 cheap lke my last sweetass Amazon purchase ...but still very definitely a "budget" guitar...

Very traditional as far as the hardware/pickup configuration goes (so hopefully it will SOUND like a Tele....maybe w/ new pups if needed) but otherwise an interesting upgrade to the body shape ..with actual lines & symmetry :lmao:

Can't wait to get my grubby hands on it :D

Ok, you made me count, LOL...

I have a total of 6 electrics, 1 bass, and 1 acoustic that are my personal "keepers" and regular players.

I got my wife a guitar she wanted from her birth year and I bought a PRS for my son that was built the same week he was born, but those don't count. :)

I have 9 other guitars that will be going up for sale over the next few weeks.

I currently have 8 very cool projects underway (yikes!), but nearly all will be sold once they are finished.

Buy enough guitars for all your pickups.

Let's see those Mockingbirds

If we're giving details, these are mine, in the order in which I would rescue them from a house fire.

Tier 1 - essential favorites:

Gibson LP Classic 7-string (2014 model)
Ibanez SR1006 6-string bass
Taylor 615ce acoustic
Gibson Gothic Explorer ('98)

Tier 2 - nice instruments I use and dig playing:

Schecter C7 SLS Elite FR
Steinberger Synapse Transcale baritone
Epiphone Matt Heafy LP 7-string
Schecter E1 Evil Twin

Tier 3 - wouldn't miss em (that seems harsh... I do play them sometimes... sorry pals):

Washburn J-something archtop
Ibanez SR505 5-string bass
Fernandes Sustainer superstrat
Epiphone LP Standard
Yamaha Attitude PJ 4-string bass
