from musicians friend. I can't wait to get it, just wondering if they came with the footswitch or if i had to purchase that seperately.

Cool. You're gonna love it. The footswitch is a seperate purchase. If you can, get the Marshall or any other generic 2-button footswitch. The cord on the Vox footswitch is only 7-8 feet long. I had to buy an extension cable from Radio Shack (standard stereo plug/jack straight headphone extension cable) to use it at practice and gigs.

There ya go. You're all set then since you have one. As long as it is 2-button it'll work. I didn't mind getting the extension cord for the Vox because it was the only 2-button I could find and it was at one store only so I had to get it. Nobody else around had any 2-button switches of any kind and I didn't have the parts to make one myself.

It's gonna be a long 4 days to wait. I can't wait to hook this up through my Splawn 4x12, The only thing i've played through that cab since i've had it is my MG head...and we all know how wonderful those sound :smack:

Which head did you get? The ones with 4 buttons per bank require a Vox footswitch, whether it's the cheap one or expensive one with all the options.
I like the head. I would have loved to have it ever since I started playing, because it's turned out to be the most useful home practice rig ever.
The main thing to know is that the 3 OD models help further shape the sound of the amp. When it's off, the models sound a little dry, but when it's on, you then have OD gain and volume plus amp gain, volume, and master. With all 5 of those knobs, you can pinpoint exact tones a lot better. It even helps to get more punchiness out of the clean amp models.
edit...I just noticed it's the 120VTH on a Splawn 4-12. You're gonna love it, because that head sounds WAY better through a quality 4-12. One of my favorite features is the onboard tuner. Also, the variable wattage and recording outs.

You'll need one of the 2 Vox switches. The jack looks like a phone jack. I never even bought one, just because I only use it at home and sit in front of it.

You're going to need either the VC-4 or VC-12 pedal. Just watch for one on ebay. I don't see either of them there right now, but they pop up quite often. It's my understanding that the VC-12 is a bit better quality, not to mention has quite a few more features than the VC-4.

I think that they are very comparable in tone, however the 60 and 120 have more options available and are more tweakable.
