You have some cool ideas but I think the drums are just killing the momentum. I would cop a better beat/pop punk that propels the song forward.

way cool brutha, thanks for the big-ups on the songwriting!

My motto is write and record songs in less than 4 hours. I wrote and recorded it in 3 hours so you can imagine the tornado wirlwind. Did the singing in 2 takes, guitar and guitar overdub in 1-2 takes. had 1 drumloop that I replaced with various loops after the fact. so there is alot to be desired considering the excuses, but Im always looking for efficient ways to record a demo - this is way helpful.

for my next song Ill record a 'sketch guitar riff' over a loop, then switch in the good drumloops and rerecord guitars, that way Ill get a tighter sound efficiently. Thanks again, cheers :beerchug:

I think it might sound better without the guitars being so sludgy - how are you tuning there? D or something? It sounds like your usual doomy type guitars, might be better with a more conventional pop-punk guitar tone?

I can also see what Astro zombie was saying about the timing, the vocals sound slightly out of time in places.

To be perfectly honest, you sound like you're still in a Black Sabbath mood and it's weird to hear a genre that's so upbeat and, well, silly, done like this!

Im prolly gonna be in Black Sabbath mood for awhile; hey they had "Fairies wear boots" goofy song...well Ill rationalize it that way; and 'people' dig it...not sure what my next song is gonna be like though. I like where this tune is going. The speedy part sounds a little muddled. Not sure if that is the drums there that is making it sound that way or what. I think this tune has potential though. I love the breaks in here not to mention the guitar tone. Drums may be the sticking point.

I dig this upbeat vibe with MM maybe cause Ive been taking improv comedy classes and going to improv shows :banana: . friends like my heavier stuff but seem to dig this one for some reason.

I like it ..... sounds like something the Kinks would be doing if they were around now instead of back in their day. I didn't really listen critcally to the mix ....just particularly enjoyed the melding of contrasting elements.

It is lighthearted enough that it just can't really be heavy .... very interesting!
