Re: I"m now a Tele man

Good goin, EZ74. I have one too. In fact, if you've ever seen the picture of the natural finish one, that's my guitar. I took out the APTL-1 lead pickup and put in an STL-2 Hot, which is my favorite Tele pickup. It's funny: even though I'm the guy who gave Fender the pickup recommendation for that guitar, for my own personal axe, I swapped out one of the pickups -- just goes to show you, I'm as sick as any one of you.

:-)

I hope yours has lots of great songs in it. Mine does. Enjoy it, Bro.

Re: I"m now a Tele man

Teles are wonderfully brutal instruments that can be an almost and complete total and utter bitch to get to sound good.

With that said every Tele player I've seen that can wrangle the thing decently pretty much smokes on anything else they pick up.

I've had mine since I started playing and wouldn't trade it for the world.

Re: I"m now a Tele man

sweet, sweet, sweet!!!!

i want one of those soooo bad!!!

played one through an 59 bassman ri a couple of days ago...LOVED IT!!!

Re: I"m now a Tele man

They can be problem children, to be certain, but I have grown to appreciate the tone. Congrats! That's a very nice looking Tele. Hope you learn to hate/love yours as much as I hate/love mine!
