Yeah, it was a pain fitting everything in there... Yes, the switch rests on the bottom of the tin so that there's no stress on the container...Gearjoneser said:Brilliant idea, and it's actually a funny pedal to have on a pedalboard!
I'm really surprised that the box was deep enough to fit all the jacks and switch, not to mention all the wires. I'm assuming the switch rests against the bottom of the tin, so the lid doesn't crush in when you step on it?
Actually, on this switch the plastic bottom is lower than the terminals. The switch insulates itself.ErikH said:You are isolating where the switch touches from the rest of the tin aren't you? If those pins on the switch touch the bottom it will ground out and not work. Just put a piece of thin cardboard there or a thin piece of foam. Anything nonconductive will work to keep those pins from touching the tin.
Ah ha, very cool. I forgot about those style switches. I use 3PDT's in all my builds.HolyDirt said:Actually, on this switch the plastic bottom is lower than the terminals. The switch insulates itself.![]()
Hmmmmm, I'm smelling a good little business here. This little joke is too good to pass up. I may want one to.CapoFirstFret said:how much to get you to build me one?seriously actually
