hmm. erm... i feel stupid asking this but im going to...
I've got £70 that i've scrounged around for, and i've got it purposefully to spend on my guitar, which is a rather fetching ''3-tone sunburst'' Squier Strat. (I know some of you might scoff at my 'inferior' Squier as opposed to you with your BRAND NAME Fenders and Gibsons...)
I've had my guitar for about 5 months, cos I'm new to this... I play AC/DC type bluesy rock (so far I can play Back In Black, You Shook Me All Night Long, Shoot To Thrill...)and I've started playing a lot of the newer IRON MAIDEN stuff (Brave New World, Dance Of Death material).
Since I've played Iron Maiden songs such as The Wicker Man (the first song I learned), I'm finding increasingly that the singlecoil on my guitar just doesn't 'cut the mustard' after having played a Fender Strat that belongs to my Uncle (that is so heavily modified I don't think it could rightly be called a Fender Strat anymore!). I'm now absolutely certain that I need a bridge humbucker. I've got £70... so my question is this - what bridge humbucker could I get that sounds great through distortion that brings out the low end with a punch... for £70?
Thanks everyone!
