Re: I need a good pedal board & power supply.
I did the same thing a while back. In my Sig is a photo of my old board. That one was pretty extensive. I made it out of plywood and used velcro to lock all the pedals down. I now have 3 seperate boards. They are all set up pretty much the same. I made all 3 out of old Shelf boards and some black spray paint. I don't have photos of these yest but will add them to my Sig eventually. Here is bassically how they are set up.
For my Marshall:
I have a DOD TR3 which runs thru the loop. This has Chorus and Delay and seems to work best with the Marshall. In the front end of the Marshall I have An old Marshall Bluesbreaker pedal, this connects to aVox Clyde McCoy and that to my tuner. I plug in to the tuner. Basically I used a shelf board a few pieces of velcro and a few pieces of molding that I left natural.
For my Bogner:
I used a shelf board as well and here I use a CE2, DD3 and a TS9. A vintage Crybabay and a tuner These plug straight in. Even though the Bogner has an effects loop I don't use it. I really do not like using the effects loop. It seems that everytime I run my stomp boxes thru the loop it deteriorates the tone/volume so I have learned not to use the loop to much. It may have something to do with the pedals I don't know but I don't use the effects that often to make a big deal out of it. I use the TS9 in the Clean only and the Chorus and DD3 as well. When I need a heavier sound I kick in the OD channel and I find it sounds best when everything is off.
For my Fenders:
Basically the same setup as the Bogner the difference is the TS9 I use with the Bogner was modded by John Spina and the one on my Fender board is a Stock RI. I also have a diffent Wah here, I'm not certain which one it is but it is a Dunlop. I have only had it for a few weeks.
At my practice space at home I have a little board that has my main Wah. Tuner and a Morley A/B/Y box. This allows me to setup 2 amps and use the boards for each amp. Anytime I am going out to play I just pick the board and amp and I am ready to go.
All of these are powere with a Visual sound one Spot. Some of the older pedals I have don't have power supplies, but VS sells these battery adapters that just hook up to the pedal like a pbattery and I can run them with the One spot. This works real well. I have wired all my boards with George L cables. They work well and can be shrtened if necessary.
