Re: i need a new wah

I reluctantly tried out an Ibanez Weeping Demon and found it to be an excellent little pedal.

Very customizable and true bypass. Lots to tweak! It basically kept me from plunking down a few hundred I was redy to spend on a Teese.

I have tried both and found the Crybaby 95Q to be tonally superior. I don't like the tonal qualities of Bad Horsies.... The Morley Tremonti Wah, however, sounds fabulous. I forget if thats one's switchless or not but I'd give that one a look-see too.

I"ve been looking at the weeping demon. Nice to hear from someone who has tried it. Any more info you can give?

Aside from what can be gleaned from Ibanez' site the thing I've found it to be is just very customizable. Across a few different kinds of guitars and amps the same settings may not always work, but once I really got to listening and figuring out the controls it was very easy to get the Wah sound I was looking for with it.

There is a learning curve...you're going to need to be able to comprehend what the Wah effect is physically as well as get a handle on everything the Weeping Demon can do.

Very cool part of it; powered by the Boss connectors! The battery compartment is very well thought out though; right on top and with a spring-loaded hatch. But since I already run a few Boss pedals mine gets it's power from the daisy chain.

For a hundred bucks it's at least worth looking at...
