I need a pickup for neo-classical post-hippy stonerbillypsychosludge

Re: I need a pickup for neo-classical post-hippy stonerbillypsychosludge

3 questions:

1) single coil or humbuckers?
2) what wood is the guitar?
3) will human/animal sacrifice be involved or not?

You obviously need a Seymour Duncan Livewire Antiquity Lipstack; the only vintage-correct noiseless lipstick pickup with a ten band EQ (Dimarzio makes something similar but it has hex poles; not vintage correct.)

Also: the Custom Shop Lipstack Hum-Pucker is available for when you want that same great tone, except you can play 'Back in Black' with it.

And it has to do pristine cleans too!

?

Whatever it is, you'll need to swap magnets. Because a "production" pickup can't possibly be good enough. As someone here will tell you. :guilty:

I need a pickup for power slop.

Re: I need a pickup for neo-classical post-hippy stonerbillypsychosludge

I feel like a double slug is perfect for power slop

El Diablo / Lipstick custom hybrid, with a Triple-shot to choose which coil.

Wasn't one dude talking about some ultimate lipstick pup he made?

Kojak, you remember anything about that???

Vintage lipstick tubes from this one bordello I know of have great tone. Hum can be a problem (or not.)

Re: I need a pickup for neo-classical post-hippy stonerbillypsychosludge

These posts leave me confused.

That's the idea.

On a related note [see what I did there?], how about a pickup with built-in autotune so it always plays the note I meant to hit instead of the ones my fingers actually landed on?

Re: I need a pickup for neo-classical post-hippy stonerbillypsychosludge

What you need is a slug/lipstick hybrid made with zphyr tchnology (silver wire, glass filled nylon bobbins, cold treatment and bi-metallic poles) the mag on the slug coil should be a vintage correct ceramic 5, whereas the lipstick coil should have 2 half width magnets like a p-90, one should be an un oriented a4 while the other must be a degaussed rough cast a8, the coils should mount on a carbon fiber baseplate with aged copper foil as shielding and to get the full out of it it should use silver hook up wire and be wired to a custom brass ring triple shot

More than just a pickup it will take. The Galanti Grand Prix will cover all this and more. It is an Italian guitar decended from an accordion.
