I need help tabbing something out.

It's not that I can't, it's just that I don't know what chords they're using! They're jazz chords, I think, and have a lot of weird progressions. The tunning is Eb because that's the tunning they recorded the CD with.

Here's a link to one of the songs.

Here's a link to the tab I got so far: Tab

There's other songs I'd like to tab, but I think that if I learn this song, I may be able to form a pattern of how the chords they use look.

Re: I need help tabbing something out.

Have only listened to about 30 secs of it, but your first problem is that theres two guitars.
The tab for is correct (for one of the guitars) but only the intro is tabbed.

the 2nd guitar is playing octaves

Re: I need help tabbing something out.

Alright this is my interpretation of the song (for the rhythm guitar only)

Chorus chords (the very beginning) have already been tabbed

The verse chords are [Fmin, Cmin, Dbmaj7, Ebmaj] X 3 , then D 1/2 diminished, Dbmaj7

Then the palm mute chugga on [F5, Then Ebmaj, Dbmaj7] X 3
Then Db 1/2 dimished again (not sure, its a fairly messy chord)

Then back to the chorus chords

Thats it.

I'm not sure if in the Palm mute part it ends with Db Maj7. I think it might be a minor chord, but I'm not sure. Thanks for helping though. Is there any chance you can give me the time of the chords?:fingersx:

Re: I need help tabbing something out.

Now that's how two guitarists should play together! Nice interlocking parts... they combine to weave a thick and deep rhythmic tapestry. Hadn't heard these guys before--I like!

Sorry I couldn't help with the tabbing, but my jazz chord naming skills are weak. Nice tune though!
