Hey gents!
Looking for speakers for my Splawn 412 straight cab that is empty! Hehe.
I don't want to spend too much, no Scumbacks.
Amps are Bogner Shiva, PWE Event Horizon, fully modified Mesa Dual Rectifier to have much better mids sort of like a JCM 800 meets Dual Rec, and taking delivery on a JCM 800, also to be modded.
I like to match amps with speakers, so I have a Bogner cab with V30s and a Stone Age that has WGS Invaders, soon to be Celestion Creambacks.
Right now for my Splawn 412, I have Lynchbacks going in, but I want this cab to be a big classic warm tone that will handle classic rock to modern rock, I am in a 90s cover band.
I am thinking older Celestion Greenbacks. I prefer the Chinese Greenbacks over Heritage Greenies, they are smoother on top to me and have less sizzle.
So, I am thinking Greenies, Lynchbacks, V30/G12H-30, G12-65/T75, but I prefer to keep my 412 as light as possible, so 30 or 35oz magnets.
Thanks all!!! I appreciate the opinions and advice a lot!
