Hi guys!
My own favourite gear is an Ibanez Universe777 (7 strings) buyed new in '98...
For the first years i use the stock pickups (Di Marzio Blaze7) with a pedalboard.
They sounds few, poor gain and a lot of noise, without worthy.
Some years ago i change them (disused the pedalboard) with an Invader Bridge and a Distortion neck...a new guitar sound!!!
But it's not the perfect sound i need. Now i want pickups with less middle, more definition, brilliance and color.
For the middle singlecoil i'm going to the Rio Grande "Tallboy"...what you think about? (yeah ok, we're on SD forum but they not produce the single7)
For the humbuckers i need to replace the Distortion, because is so dark with less harmonics and a non defined sound with too much distortion.
It could be right a '59 model?
This could be the first step for the "brown sound"
