You guys gotta have some more respect for what people like to listen to/their beliefs.
Music is not inherently evil because of the title of a genre. Just because a band has a drummer, a bassist, a guitarrist that plays with distortion, and a singer, doesn't mean that it's instantly a hard up for sex rock and roll band. Music is music, and many christian rock bands use it to help spread their GOOD message to others.
What is more offensive-a metal band singing about the good deeds of men and the bible, or a bunch of people making fun of a someone just because he admires a band for their music and their message?

So....Amish Thrash wouldn't perhaps strike you as.....oh...odd?
Fact of the matter is that with the splintering and diversification of Christianity there's alot of different standards, and the more Fundamental the less likely they are to find rock and roll to be acceptable.
But who is is that says that their message is good? What if you're Jewish and the song tells you to repent and accept Jesus Christ as your savior. Simply by aligning themselves with a religion and using it as a recruiting tool they inherently put themselves in opposition to other religions with other beliefs.
This is a place heavy in admiration. But what the original post came across as was just dripping in hubris, flaunting and what I call "neener-neener-ing"....which is probably "covet" now that I think about it. Either way I studied Christianity for long enough to know that such a thing is NOT terribly Christian.
Oh get off it it. Christianity has been the ruling majority for 2000 years now. If you're of the belief that things have escalated as of late it's simply because there have actually been folks willing to speak out about it.
But I'm a man of faith. I'm a man who believes that we can have a rational and polite discussion about religin and faith and how it applies to music.

Just because something that is different from what you believe in is being directed at you doesn't make it bad. I would say that a song commanding you to accept Christ and deny all other beings would be a bit pushy though, but that's not my point.
I'm with you on that one, but I myself am no christian rock fan. I'm just a non practicing Catholic kid who believes in the good that there is in the concepts of Christianity-the respect part especially...something that's easily violated when people just start throwing derrogative generalizations about a group of people. Sure he may be flaunting about bragging about his new cab, but it doesn't mean that people have to go around calling christians and what they believe a load of shiat.

I could be wrong on this, but isn't all of this shared information for anyone use? Those pictures do not have a copywrite on them so there isn't really any violations for using it. But I could be wrong, I'm just saying.
Seriously dude just turn the other cheak. I'm not trying to take a crack at you seriously just let it go. There having fun on at your expence, everyones done it and all of us have taken it to far at one point or another. I know I have. It's gotten to the point where they are just trying to bug you. Just let it go.
Everyone believes in somthing else and thinks a different way and that is great. It has potential to be a good thing. It keeps things from being boring. Its just when it gets out of control, like this, when it turns ugly.
I don't really like Christian music either, but I respect it. I don't like Rap, but I respect it. I'm sure there are people that don't like what I write, but that is there decission and I respect that to. Who cares what the messege behind the song is! It doesn't matter. If you write somthing original and you are proud of it then that is respect worthy. People put to much meaning into songs. They are just words! If you enjoy it thats awesome, if you don't change that channel or go write somthing you enjoy. Hendrix didn't like surf music so he wrote what he liked. I don't ever recalling him bashing it. There was the "so you never have to hear suft music again" quote but I wouldnt consider that bashing. More of an explaination lol.
You got somthing for what sounds like a hero of yours. Nice score! I got a big muff and couldn't describe how excited I was because it whats Billy Corgan uses. I can't imagine how you feel actully getting somthing of theres.
He was excited, cut him some slack. So what if it was a little off what the perfect christian. I see post on here all the time of someones new gear score. Why is this one any different? Is it because of the band he is in? It's just a band to me. I could see the show off thing if he was activally preaching the word of God on this board. But he is just a kid excited about his gear score. Everyone shows off there new stuff this one should be no different.
Why pick fights? We have 3 things in common. We play guitar, we love music and SEYMOUR DUNCAN PUPS! To me that seems like reason enough to keep the water calm.
So lets just chill grab our guitars our best girl (or dude depending on the way you swing and if you have one) a beverage of choice and go play or write what we enjoy!

the kid is excited about getting a cab from a guitar player in a band that he loves......that's very understandable!!!

people can sing and play and be passionate about their beliefs in anyway they want...there are too many people that just sit around and wait to bash on Christianity every chance they get on here and frankly i'm sick and tired of it...it's usually the same ones too....you hate Christianity....duh...we're fully aware of that...find something else to do besides knock on a kid for buying a guitar cab from a Christian band and enjoying it and wanting to share his excitement for having it...couldn't you at least act like semi-mature human beings and just say..."hey man, that's cool that you have that, i would love to have (insert your rock band idol's name here)'s cab...?!

it's also funny how we have so many "experts" on Christianity when they wanna tear it down...nobody's perfect around here...including me...nobody claims to be either. whatever little issues the "haters" have around here need to vent their inner frustrations on a shrink or something instead of teenagers on the internet.
as far as saying that there's no way there can be Christian Rock music...i can speak from experience that you know absolutely zero about what you are talking about...zero...zilch...nada...period.

Wow! Y'all must have been having a bad day. The guy tries to show off his new amp (which we're all guilty of, from time to time) and you take something totally off-topic and decide to drag it into the ground and beat it around a while.
The next time Luke posts a picture of his Dr. Z I'm going to start bashing him for it because the guy he got it from likes Les Pauls, and I hate them, so he shouldn't be posting pictures of that amp.

I'm gonna answer JacksonMIA's Question cuz I'm itchin to talk about this thing. yeah, I took it to practice the next day and after about 15 minutes of reEQing the amp, I can't believe my tone. My Attax head has always sounded good but with my old cab I had 2 problems.....The bass would easily fart out and the highs had a grainy sound though not bad, not great either. To give you an idea of how well built and thoughtout this cab is, I can now have my bass at 10 with the amp almost all the way up and it NOT fart out in any form. Granted that's just an example cuz I keep my bass around 6 and my gain even lower. Think of my tone now like this, it's the difference between Metallica's Kill Em All tone, and with the new cab, the Black album tone. I kid you not. Now in practice our sound isn't 2 guitars, it's 1 HUGE guitar sound since it is almost imnpossible for myself and Aaron to have different tone. It is one killer cab. Rockdrivers people, Rockdrivers, the speakers to use for metal.
