As someone who owns a Bad Monkey, I must ask how big a change does the cab sim make? I've tried A/B'ing the mixer out into my amplifier just to try and qualify what all it does, but is a cab sim's effect "overwritten" by an actual cab?

Yeah, I think the big difference is supposed to be the CM-2 has a better bypass and less of a midboost. I cannot speak on this, just repeated what I've heard. I've never had any problem with the bypass on my BM and mine is modded to have flat mids.
Those CM-2s are supposed to be great pedals. I look forward to the review!
So it sounds just like a Bad Monkey, but with nicer knobs and enclosure? I can deal with that.
Well, I am happy I have a Monkey. But I will sell it for $650.
